To be honest, when I accepted this order, I was struggling to keep my eyes open.

I had pulled an all-nighter the previous evening and planned to take the day off to sleep. When I finally woke up in the afternoon, I checked my WeChat and saw messages from several clients. I felt terrible, especially for one client who urgently needed a rolled-up PP paper poster (weighing about 1kg) delivered from Shenzhen to Hong Kong.

Negotiating Time

The client originally hoped for same-day delivery. However, I was exhausted, and the logistics were daunting. The pickup location was miles away from my home and the border checkpoint.

I communicated honestly with her. Although she was in a rush, she was incredibly understanding and agreed to change the delivery time to the next morning. The deadline was set: 9:00 AM, December 1st, 2020, at Pui Ying College in Shatin, Hong Kong.

Once I make a promise, I keep it. To ensure I wouldn’t be delayed at the border the next morning, I decided to pick up the package that same night.

The Long Road to Pickup

The pickup address was far: New Sun Wisdom Valley, Fengtang Avenue, Fuhai Street, Bao’an District, Shenzhen.

For those familiar with Shenzhen, going from the city center to Fuhai and then back to the border is a massive trip. Adding the next day’s journey to Hong Kong, it was easily a “100km march.” By the time I picked up the fragile paper from the print shop, it was pitch black outside. I carefully secured the item, went home, and set my alarm.

Mission Accomplished & The “Reverse Shopping” Trend

I set off at the crack of dawn the next day. Crossing the border, switching trains, and heading straight for Shatin.

When you’re carrying something a client urgently needs, you naturally move faster. I arrived at Pui Ying College right before 9:00 AM. Seeing the client’s relief and hearing her thanks when she received the undamaged paper made all the fatigue vanish. Helping people solve urgent problems is the greatest joy of this job.

More Than Just Documents: Connecting Shenzhen and Hong Kong

While this story is about a business document, our Shenzhen-Hong Kong Errand Services cover so much more.

Recently, we’ve seen a surge in what’s called “Reverse Purchasing” (反向代购). It’s not just about goods leaving HK anymore; it’s about bringing Shenzhen’s lifestyle to Hong Kong:

  • Food Delivery: Clients craving Shenzhen specific snacks or tea drinks often ask us for Shenzhen food delivery to Hong Kong.
  • Shopping: From Sam’s Club runs to picking up Taobao packages and hand-carrying them across the border to avoid damage.

Whether it’s cross-border reverse purchasing or urgent business parcels like this PP paper, flexibility is our strength. Unlike standard logistics, we offer a personal touch—ensuring fragile items aren’t crushed and deadlines are met.

If you need to check our Cross-Border Parcel Delivery Pricing or want to try ordering Shenzhen takeout to your door in Hong Kong, Zerrand is here to help.

Even if we are tired, we are always on the road for you!
